An exceptionnal land
Our horses are bred extensively on the Sauveterre
Causse. This high land is known for its chalky soil, its pure air,
its scarce water and its demanding climate with hot summers and
rough winter.
The elevation is about 1800 to 2400 feet up. Landscapes
are gorgeous with a sense of serenity. Bred full range, our horses
have to walk and run 15 to 20 km per day in order to feed.
This experience helps them to develop their endurance
qualities.
Studies have shown that horses bred according to
this method in this area have better physiological qualities (better
assimilation of oligo-éléments which is important
for endurance races, better adaptation to déshydration, greater
bone density, dryness of their tissues...) and physical qualities
(hardness of their hoof, abilities to cope with strong slopes and
harsh tracks... ).
