Our passion : the breeding of arabian endurance horses !

Jean Basset with Menkhib, an arabic endurance stallion.

More than a job, a passion !

We live in La Tieule on the Causse de Sauveterre since 1990. Our horses come from the most performing bloodlines in the world with some exceptionnal broodmares - called "Grandes Dames " - and stallions such as Persik who was elected best world's best reproducer in the year 2000 and father of the two winners of the 2001 Compiegne World Championship.

Our horses are bred extensively on steppic spaces located in the South of France and called "Grands Causses". Growing up in this unique environment, our horses develop exceptional qualities that later explain their unmatched results at an international level.

Many of the young offsprings of our studs have now the age to be engaged in the greatest endurance contests. They are very promising and will be driven by some of the more gifted French riders such as Cécile Demièrre or Jean-Philippe Frances. The matching of all these qualities should produce great results in the coming months and years...

Causse de Sauveterre; a magic land

The Causse de Sauveterre is a steppic highland located between Lozere and Aveyron. It is an exceptionnal land with a 2400 to 3000 feet up elevation, a karstic relief, a typical dry vegetations and astonishing open landscapes. It is perfectly suited for the breeding of horses.

When walking or riding on its tracks, you will cross the path of shepherds and theirs cattles. The milk of their sheeps is used to produce the now world famous Roquefort which is matured a few kilometers far from our village.
